So you want to be a model, no lets change that.. So you want to be a plus size model .. yes, the high fashion lights, the big beauty prize.  Well, Lets start off with the world has changed…a little.  Becoming a plus size model is a path with many ups and downs, I;m not going to candy coat it or more less tell, lie to you… but nevertheless, im no professional at this ether! Now with that said, Becoming a model is a hard path, it takes…like your mother said “Dedication and hard work!”  You must learn to take rejecting head on, then get up and move to the next opportunity, as we’ll you must be wise in the game, by becoming a professional on knowing who you work with, how to get started, and if you feel you can take on the world with stride!

The Plus size Model

When checking out different sites on modeling and fashion, I came across one, that in a powerful way took plus size modeling to a new defined step. They called themselves Evolution of Curves. Their focus is, bringing out that big girls can rock fashion and clothing, no matter the size.  They feature, fashion trend setting shows, showcasing the pushes and movers of the plus size community. With a wide variety of  contributers to their fashion movement, including plus size designers, models, talented performers and of course the clothing, they give a new light to those, that thought, modeling was only for skinny girls!    Traveling all over with their unique shows and entertainment , they carry an attitude of great self confidence in their second skin (as you can see in the video below) as well, making eyes and ears open up wide to the plus size society that does exsist in fashion.

As we all know today,  it took long hard strides for plus size women to surpass the conspt that you need to be a size 3 , 90 pound woman to really, define the clothings purpose.  Now, many years later and of course the help of huge pushers in the fashion world like , Kate Dillon, Velvet D’Amour, Emme (Melissa) Aronson and above many more! Plus size fashion and modeling has took a huge curve into a different light, and continues to bloom more today!   So my fellow plus size women, be proud and celebrate those curves, because big girl you can rock it!  Now go check out Evolution of Curves and perhaps one day you could be in their next show as a beautiful plus size model!
